What makes you a Beyond Mom?

Just knowing that there is no such thing as a “mom” anymore – we as women juggle so many different hats everyday that we are always beyond the limits we think we can manage. There is no such thing as balance, we’re all just trying to find what whats for us personally.

What are the parts of you that have grown and expanded since becoming a Mom?

Everything. I think my life and success finally took off once I became a mom. I realized that I wanted to be able to work from home and be the mother to my son that he needed, so I found a way to make that happen – together.

Can you share a collaboration/success story with another woman; what helped the collaboration become successful?

My newest business partner Allison Cooper! We met as fellow bloggers in NYC, ended up being both from Pittsburgh, and realized we work well together as we balance each other out, so we started a NYC brand/blogging network called

What relationships help you stay connected to yourself?

My tribe of moms. They help balance me, and remind me that I cannot do it all alone, and that each of us all stumble and struggle with guilt everyday. Something always has to take the back burner. I couldn’t survive as a mom in this city without the ability to connect and rely on their stories to remind me we all go through it.

Do you have a ‘Beyond’ dream that you are pursuing? If so, please share…

My dream is just to be able to keep doing what I am doing. Being a successful role model for my child/children as they grow, and show that the American Dream is attainable if you work hard enough for it.

What wellness activity can you not live without? What is one thing you do daily that balances you?

Ever since I became pregnant, I have gone for long walks around the city. Now, Maximo comes with me. We walk everywhere – exploring new playgrounds, restaurants, taking in the city sites and just people watching. It’s really amazing to just watch this city happen in real life around you. You never know what you’ll stumble upon and no day is the same.

How does style influence the way you stay feeling ‘Beyond’? Who is currently your favorite designer?

I just met the designer behind GiGi New York at NYFW and fell in love with the beauty of the bags. Once I met Tom Glazer and saw how humble and compassionate he was for his work, it made me appreciate the artwork even more.
