What makes you a Beyond Mom?
Although I have an amazing life, I never stop striving and never stop evolving to become a better me. I also recognize that all of my past experiences, the successes as well as the challenges, are lessons to prepare me for the next season of my life, personally, professionally and as a mom.
What are the parts of you that have grown and expanded since becoming a Mom?
Patience, tenacity and endurance…I feel like I’ve developed superhuman levels.
Can you share a collaboration/success story with another woman; what helped the collaboration become successful?
It seems like it should be obvious, but when I collaborate with Loacker’s Director of Communications at our headquarters in Italy, magic happens. It seems modern business dictates that the larger a company grows, the more fragmented departments and regional offices become, resulting in silos. We decided to break that chain and become mutual resources for one another by sharing best practices, insights, partnering on major projects, stress relief techniques and long term planning.
What relationships help you stay connected to yourself?
My relationship with God, my husband and son…as well as “me time”.
Do you have a ‘Beyond’ dream that you are pursuing? If so, please share…
I feel like I’m already living the “Beyond” dream…I have the dream job, wonderful family and amazing life, however I do have personal aspirations that go beyond the here and now. I’ve had a desire for quite some time to provide a platform to celebrate and inspire those who make food their business. This idea has been germinating for quite sometime and I feel like it’s close to becoming a reality. That’s all I’ll say about that, LOL.
What wellness activity can you not live without? What is one thing you do daily that balances you?
Zumba and I just got into Orange Theory, which is awesome. Since 2004, I’ve been doing the 5 Tibetans Rites (similar to yoga poses) nearly every morning and it literally keeps me balanced and on track.
How does style influence the way you stay feeling ‘Beyond’? Who is currently your favorite designer?
Feeling confident in my own personal sense of style is key. I don’t have a favorite designer so to speak, however I do have a preferred aesthetic…I tend to gravitate towards classic, minimal and monochromatic looks.
