What makes you a Beyond Mom?
I didn’t realize my potential as a creator until I became a mother. My business was born when my 2nd child was a little over a year old. I was nervous and scared, and that fearful voice inside me said, “Can you really do this?”. I wrote a business plan and sat on it for nearly a year. Eventually, I learned how to shut down that negative voice and take a risk to start my open business. I haven’t looked back since! I couldn’t be happier with the creative, collaborative, and fun career path that I have created for myself out of my passion. I am in my dream job, and I’ve created it myself. How cool is that? Now, I am constantly creating every day — within my own business and my personal life. From launching a new chapter for women entrepreneurs in my region, to continuing to grow my business, working on my garden, building upon my interest in health and wellness, and actively engaging with my family, friends, children, and community, I’ve learned to embrace all of the gifts that motherhood has blessed me with.
What are the parts of you that have grown and expanded since becoming a Mom?
My risk-taking skills exploded once I became a mother. I’ve always considered myself a fearless go-getter. I moved to New York City by myself at age 22 to take a job at CBS News. I’ve traveled the country by myself producing hundreds of news stories and segments. But it wasn’t until my children were born did I realize how much taking a risk for myself can pay off. Becoming a mother gave me the courage to create more – a business, collaborative professional relationships, and learn new hobbies such as gardening. I come up with new ideas every day, and I am fearless in taking action on them, and taking a risk to see where it gets me. Right now a few former journalist friends and I are working to launch a local news site for our region. I want to write a book one day. New ideas are born within me every day, and since becoming a mom, I’ve been able to put my pen to paper and take action.
Can you share a collaboration/success story with another woman; what helped the collaboration become successful?
There is so much beauty in collaboration — and I especially love collaborating with other publicists! My dear friend, business partner, and mother Lucinda Blumenfeld is the first that comes to mind! We met a few years ago while jointly working together on a client’s book launch, and the rest is history! Life and business can be lonely as a solopreneur, and it wasn’t until I started collaborating with other like-minded women did I see the beauty of what we can create together! We are able to provide feedback, insight, and so much value to each other’s business.
What relationships help you stay connected to yourself?
My relationship with myself and my soul.
My relationship with my husband. He is my best friend.
My relationship with my three children. They are my angels.
Do you have a ‘Beyond’ dream that you are pursuing?
I have always been a big dreamer! I have big dreams for my company, Nardi Media, to continue to grow and be the best media relations firm in the country. I have dreams to continue to learn how to garden, and to write a book. I have dreams to dive deeper into the field of wellness, spirituality, and energy work — it fascinates me. I have dreams to travel to Europe with my hubby. I wake up every day with a new dream and idea. I feel that is in my blood as an entrepreneur. And the best part? Since becoming a mother, I’ve realize the beauty of taking action to turn my dreams and idea into a reality.
What wellness activity can you not live without? What is one thing you do daily that balances you?
Meditation. I meditate in my office almost every morning before my family wakes up. I have a bookshelf with photos of my family, my father who passed away when I was a child, a statue of the Virgin Mary, and Padre Pio, which were given to me when my grandparents passed away. I keep incense, oils, candles, and live flowers there. Sometimes I meditate for 5 minutes, and some days I meditate for 30. But now, if I miss a day of meditation, I can feel it!
How does style influence the way you stay feeling ‘Beyond’? Who is currently your favorite designer?
My style is all about comfort and class combined into one. I love to keep it simple, yet chic. Right now I love to shop at Zara!

Right now, my favorite workout is yoga and gardening. You’d be surprised how much gardening can make you SWEAT!
