On June 17th, I was thrilled to once again collaborate with my dear friend and favorite Beyond Mom, Amanda Gluck, founder of FashionableHostess.com. We presented an evening of pampering, networking, and inspiration at the stunning Hale Organic Salon, sharing our perspective on Beauty. We view Beauty as certainly something we can cultivate on the outside through the products we use and the treatments we do, but Beauty is also something we explore through the food we consume, and most importantly, the way we cultivate our emotional and spiritual selves.
Sharing their unique approach on this concept of Beauty we welcomed our friends Arielle Fierman Haspel of BewellwithArielle.com (health coach, speaker, and blogger) and Vanessa Coppes of Bella NYC Magazine (Social Media and Marketing Director, Writer, and Founder of Entrepreneurial Think Tank for Moms). Their talks gave us concrete take-aways to bring more health, happiness, and therefore, beauty into our daily lives.
While schmoozing and networking, our attendees enjoyed next level treatments from Skin Gym Face Fitness, Shellie Goldstein and Associates, Basq Skincare and Oasis Day Spa. They had the chance to chat with our Beyond Mom Friend, Grace Lee of Nine Naturals on the importance of non-toxic skin care during pregnancy, and they sipped delicious cocktails by Snow Sugar while nibbling whole grain cookies by Sweet Lorens. Each guest was given a gorgeous gift bag designed by our friend Emily Hsu of Au Lait, filled with beautiful gifts including Strivectin wrinkle and stretch mark cream, The Container Store travel cosmetic bags, Environ hand cream and sun hats, Mustela travel size baby skin care kit, Pilar Selman Jewelry, Blingo Jewelry, tea samples from TeaScapes, Elaine Turner gift cards, Mio Skin Care workout wonder cream and Destination Maternity Coupons. We all made it home safely with Uber Car Service using our Beyond Mom discount codes.
To me, the most meaningful aspect of the Beyond Mom Events is the connections that are made. When I watch women chatting, exchanging cards, and feeling even more inspired than when they walked in the door, I know I’m doing something important. Creating a setting to explore what beauty means to each of us and to bask in some free time to be pampered is so necessary for women, and especially for Moms. I continue to be thrilled to know such amazing women who understand the importance of giving a little self-love and of connecting on a deeper level with others.
Another huge thank you to my co-host Amanda- you are a Beauty Inside and Out and a HUGE congrats on the arrival of your baby boy- only two days after our successful event! Enjoy these photos and check out our photo album here!
