Chia Pudding – Oh, the mighty little Chia! We would shout our love for you from the rooftops. Don’t be fooled by their tiny size and lack of flavor. These little seeds pack a powerful nutritional punch. They are a rich source of Omega 3s, antioxidants, protein containing all essential amino acids, calcium and iron. Shake them up in your favorite milk (we like almond or coconut) with some vanilla and maple syrup and you have a decadent tasting breakfast that will keep you full until lunch. We fill several mason jars with Chia Pudding and keep them in the fridge for grab and go breakfasts, guilt-free dessert and anytime snacks. Adding some cacao powder makes this a chocolatey treat that is low in sugar and high in antioxidants!
2 cups nut milk
1/2 cup chia seeds
optional: 1/4 cup raw cacao powder
2-3 Tbsp maple syrup
1/4 tsp ground sea salt
1/2 tsp vanilla extract
optional: dash of cinnamon
Toppings: fresh fruit, berries, chopped nuts, seeds, cacao nibs, shredded coconut
Combine ingredients in a large bowl or jar. Shake or whisk well and let rest for 5 mins. Whisk again and pour evenly into 4 mason jars. Cover the jars and refrigerate overnight for for several hours until pudding is formed! These last for up to a week in your fridge, so make a bunch for a healthy breakfast or snack at the ready. Top with your favorite flavors, grab and go!
Avocado and Egg Wrap – EMBODY Wellness Company’s on the go take on the ever trendy avocado toast! Eggs and Avocados are two of Mother Nature’s greatest gifts. Protein, fiber, choline, vitamins and minerals – they are truly super foods. Put them together and what do you get? A nutritional match made in heaven. Smash a half of an avocado onto an Ezekial Tortilla Wrap. Sprinkle with salt and pepper and a dash of cayenne. We add a sprinkle of chia and flax seeds too! We created them to sneak superfoods into our kids diets, and we keep making them because they’ve become a family favorite. And the best part, they take no time to make and they last in the fridge for longer than it takes to gobble them all up. Turmeric, cinnamon and a slew of superfoods make these baked goods almost too healthy to be true. Bake up a batch today and feel the benefits!
Green Smoothie- We definitely didn’t invent this one, but we can’t deny the ease, deliciousness and nutritional efficiency of a well executed smoothie. We make this a stress free way to start the day by helping our clients create “smoothie packs” to use through the week. Wash, chop and divide your ingredients into sealable baggies or containers and keep them in the fridge. Then, when you are ready to drink up, just dump one into your blender, add liquid, ice, blend and enjoy. Make sure you include a handful or two of leafy greens in your mix! To increase the protein content (think: full for longer, energy, fuel) try adding a tbsp or 2 of almond butter or protein powder. Don’t forget to add our favorite trio of superfoods: chia, flax and hemp seeds for an extra nutrients, healthy fats and proteins and antioxidants!
Mediterranean Frittatas – Muffin, meet egg. Egg, meet muffin. Make a few dozen of our mini veggie filled frittatas and keep them in your fridge. Heat them up or eat them cold as you rush out the door. They make lovely appetizers when entertaining and great additions to any brunch buffet. But best of all, our kids and husbands love them too!
